Swimming & Reports

Swimming commences in Term 3 on the 16th of August at Massey Park Pools. All students in Room 11 will be participating. Lessons will run over two weeks for 30 mins each day. Please ensure your child has a swim suit. Only swimming appropriate fabrics to be worn in the pool (These are the rules of Massey Park Pools). If wearing shorts they need to be waterproof. No t-shirts are to be worn however, a waterproof rash top is fine. Mid-term reports should be going out over the next week or so. If your child does not bring their report card home before the end of term please inform our office or email me on: sheonav@edmundhillary.school.nz and it can be reprinted or sent via email. Kelly Tarlton's Research Projects

Room 12 have begun researching various animals they will see when they visit Kelly Tarlton's next week.

Some very creative and eye catching projects are underway.   

Habitats, predators, special adaptions, diet and various survival strategies are being thought about.  

The children are learning to source information from encyclopedias, library books and Google.

Learning Discussions & Kelly Tarltons

A big thank you to Highwire who are kindly funding our upcoming trip to Kelly Tarltons on the 25 of May (departure 9am). We are also delighted to announce that we have some lovely volunteers from KPMG who will be helping to supervise small groups of approximately six students on the day. Learning Discussions will commence on Tues 8th - Friday 11th of June the times will run between 2:30 - 6pm please ensure you have sent the notice back to school with your preferred appointment times. A booking confirmation letter will be sent out at a later date. Thanks Sheona
